    About

    Objective

The Tamilnadu Council aims to provide Secondary Education, Higher Secondary Education, Management, and Technical Diploma Courses to disadvantaged groups, including Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and socially and economically weaker sections of society. The council strives to offer the best possible teaching and learning environment, enabling students to serve society with dignity.

To achieve this, the council provides individualized study with flexibility in terms of place and duration. It identifies educational needs and opens study centers, offering opportunities in School Education and Skill Development through Open and Distance Learning (ODL) mode.

The council promotes approved standards of learning, designs courses, and develops self-instructional materials. It organizes training programs, collaborates with international agencies, and establishes links with other examining bodies.

To expand access to education, the council establishes linkages with contemporary education systems, promotes interaction among open schools, and develops career-oriented courses. It conducts examinations, announces results, and releases certificates.

Furthermore, the council organizes educational and vocational training programs, imparts free education and cultural training to needy children, and establishes institutions for adult education.
